ALM's unique combustion and blade cooling
design leads to low NOx and the reduction of other emissions for the following reasons:
1. The dilution zone in the combustor has been
eliminated. This reduces residence time and lowers NOx (and also has the benefit of
significantly increasing efficiency).
2. A high percentage of ballast gas significantly lowers combustion
temperatures which leads to lower NOx.
3. A high percentage of ballast gas dilutes the oxygen which slows down
the chemical kinetic reactions of the pollutants, and which lowers NO.
4. ALM has also developed a novel patent pending "reactor"
which reforms diesel and various other fuels, which further lowers NOx and CO.
